1. Trying to stay up for the eclipse tonight but I’m surprisingly tired. I finally have something cool to do in my sleepless state and this is when I decide I want to go to bed like a normal person.

We went walking again tonight and I’ve realized that I’ve really missed doing this. We didn’t get out much this winter because it was either too cold or too icy to walk anywhere for too long and I’m glad we’ve started it up again.

At one point Ben stopped walking right in the middle of the road and commented on how awesome the moon looked. That’s when I noticed it too, it was unusually bright and seemed bigger too, it broke through the branches of a tree and it all seemed very Halloween to me. That’s when we remembered all the chatter about the “blood moon” and the eclipse.

Which is now why I’m on tumblr fighting sleep because I really want to see it :)

This is a color-enhanced image of the moon captured by the Galileo spacecraft. It shows the different changes in color on the northern hemisphere of the moon according to its mineral composition. According to NASA, “Bright pinkish areas are highlands materials. Blue to orange shades indicate volcanic lava flows.”
Don’t miss these 10 amazing photos of the moon.
